Payday 2 Shootout

Postby DogRobber » Thu Jul 18, 2013 1:30 pm

In August, I'm hoping to revive some Friday Night shootout with the game Payday 2 that releases that month on Steam.

It's a 4 person co-op shooter.

Who wants to play, and can play for an hour or 3 each Friday? Actually, Thursday - Sunday works for me, but aiming for Friday has worked pretty well in the past.

I'm considering recording the sessions for the site's YouTube channel.

I'd be in to try that. No guarantees on every Friday, but I'll do my best.

I had mentioned being able to pick up a 4 pack to help kick things off.
If you pick up a copy, let me know. So far, the only interested parties here on the forums have been you and Rage. Logan has mentioned being interested in TeamSpeak. So a 4 pack would have covered all 4 of us. I can probably hold onto the 4th for a late comer if you already bought yourself the game.
If you pick up the version that lets you into the beta (which is a bit more expensive then Steam would lead you to believe on their front page), let us know how it plays.
I'm pretty excited to get back to shooting stuff on Friday nights.

As an FYI,

Gamespot.com has it listed for an August 25th release.

Hokfota and I have, we think, work out a deal.

We're meeting on TS tonight to talk it over.

In the mean time, this is probably my favorite play through video of the game at the moment.

This is going to be a great game for FNSO.
I was able to put in quite a few hours this weekend and there might still be an NDA, so I can't really get into specifics.
However, it's a really fun shooter, that requires teamwork.
The maps are consistently different which makes a team rely on tactics rather then just map knowledge.
The 4 archtypes that you can spend your training points in are all helpful.

Looking forward to it.
