Star Conflict seems like the War Thunder of space combat games.

That might be fun.

There's a 4 pack of Guns of Icarus on sale (winter Steam sale started today) for 8 bucks.

Seems like there was some interest in this game a year or so back.

Blacklight and Star Conflict installed.

I can update Borderlands and Left4Dead(1 or 2?)

I'll pick up DayZ. It might be hard to find a daylight server for tonight, though. But it should be a lot of fun during the weekend.

On DayZ. Im pretty sure its going to be rough going tonight. I watched a couple videos last night and there were no zombies and no supplies. That said....the nighttime stuff with the flashlight was awesomely scary.

Of course the griefers must be horrendous because thats pretty much all the guy talked about "I'm going to be shot any second now...... Just waiting for the bullet............I can't believe someone hasn't shot me yet......." etc

But the atmosphere was awesome.

The hardest part of DayZ is finding the people you want to play with.
The game map is massive and you start out at one of several spawn points with no real reference unless you happen to spawn in a location you recognize.
You're thirsty, close to hunger, and totally unarmed.

PvP griefing was pretty common in the mod. I'm not sure how it'll play out in the SO version.

I played for a few minutes this morning and managed to find a bat and some soda. Maybe we can find a low pop server in the daytime this weekend and get into the same area. Your location tends to transfer between servers, so you can server hop if needed to keep moving towards wherever we need to meet up.

Nathan and I found a few decent spots with available resources before. The map is mostly the same, so I'm suspecting they're still around.

At the moment, it doesn't look like they allow private servers.

Day Z is in pre-alpha... with a massive disclaimer on buying it and expecting anything more than shit right now. I'll buy it, because the arma mod was the kind of game that had me thinking of it in the middle of the night and sending troy pictures of old looking trucks in disrepair around the county.

I'll look into the others you've mentioned too.
