I'll work those in.

I'm pretty busy tracking down heretical mages and templars, at the moment, but I need to re-install Arma 3 to my desktop at some point. So I may as well start with that.

I should probably just bring a memory stick over with everything on it lol. It's like 18gb worth of mods that I have one here now. Great sound, great visuals, new uniforms and weapons and stuffs.

That didn't feel like the smoothest Arma 3 session.

Was it fun for everyone, though?

Fun would be a stretch.

There is a bunch of keyboard reconfiguring I was trying to do on the fly to even shoot anything past 100 meters. Apparently I was tragically mistaken about right mouse button to scope/zoom being an industry standard. The whole thing feels a little awkward still, but I sat down on Sunday and had an alt tab fest between Arma and my G13 in an effort to figure out what the fuck the game even thinks is supposed to happen when I look into a scope. I'm guessing its an engine limitation in changing points of view, but every other game since Duke Nukem seemed to have it figured out in a better fashion than the ARMA guys.

The complexity appeals to me, but the interface and movement are ass.

I'll keep playing and get my $30 out of it.

and stop dropping us in front of enemy tanks.

Seems like the scope / iron site view is a toggle on Arma 3.
So instead of holding down the right mouse button, you double click it?
I'd have to go back into the game to make sure of that, though. Seems like I'm doing it intuitively and haven't thought about it in a while.

I'd like to see this game be a constant Friday Night shootout for a bit, though. The Workshop options are outstanding, and there are several that I think would be a nice session for Friday nights. And probably a ton more that I've never even tried.

I have it mapped to one of the thumb buttons on my mouse... But I believe the standard control is the slash key (/) on the keypad. You can also control right mouse I think and it will cycle them.

As far as mods go.... There is a lot of stuff using the RHS Escalation kit. DUWS that we play has a mode with it. USA vs Russians, what red blooded American doesn't like that?
