I'm hearing alot of good things about this free to play (microtransactions for "premium" content).

Anyone want to try it out?

I played it a bit yesterday.

It's interesting...

There's a strong sense that tactics and skill are the biggest factors in the game. Map knowledge seems key.

A battle in the game lasts about 5 to 10 minutes and rewards you with experiance and money to spend on upgrading your tank and crew as well as working towards better class of tanks.

I've only played about 6 battles, but the balance systems appears to insure that each team has the same number of each class of tanks of which there appear to be 10.

Straight into the game with no experiance, I was able to put rounds on a tank which, while I didn't get credit for killing a tank, speaks to how easy the game is to pick up. Plus you get exp and coin for seeing, attacking, hitting, and killing tanks in increasing amounts, so technically a "scout" tank could just run around filling in the fog of war for the better equipped or higher class tanks and still do pretty well.

It would be fun to try a group game or 10. Not sure if it's better then LOL, but it is different and free, so sometimes that just nice to have on the HDD.

Kinda getting into this game for the same reasons that I enjoy LoL.

The two games have alot of the same trappings that make them easier to pick up and play for short periods and still feel like you're making progress.

So, I've started a series of videos on the game. The first one is up on the homepage.

So have have tier 3 USA arty researched and tier 4 USSR tank destroyers researched.
Now I just need to save up the 300,000 coins to purchase both of them.
That screw up last night with the tank destroyers cost me about 60,000.

Right now I'm cycling through Arty (tier 2), tank destroyers (tier3), and light tanks (tier 3) trying to get as much cash coming in as I can.

Love the videos Dogrobber. I have had the same issues as the last part of the new video where you hit someone and no damage or they just disappear in plain sight. lately I have heard people blaming it on lag issues, who knows, but it is a hella fun game.I play every day now so if you guys see me in invite I up'ed my ram and my graphics card so I'm not having any of the crash issues I was the first night we tried to run together. Sorry bout that. if I need a membership I'll get it up and going this week.

Here's the video for clan warfare.
I believe it's live on the European servers, but hasn't been activated on the NA servers.
