I cant connect to the server, keeps telling me bad version. Ping is also listed at 9999.

That would figure, Andy.
I'm in Portland this weekend and can't look into that. The game version and mod version that the server is running is listed in the server name, though.

Are you having issues too, Nate?

I was finally able to connect. I didn't change any thing other than using DayZ commander to launch the game instead of 6 launcher.

Also the ping is 95. Any idea why DayZ Commander is working with the server and 6 Launcher is not? Bad coding maybe?

No problems, 14 ping for me :P Also.... Not sure what happened, but the two 'new' tents were empty when I logged in, so all the food, meds and vehicle parts are missing after the last reset.

Not that it matters with a fully stocked grocery store and no vehicles yet... lol.

What control do you have over the server... as far as weapon spawns, timers and all that, can you edit what spawns and what doesn't?

I've had issues with 6 launcher not seeing things, and not fixing things.... Commander works great...

I logged in this morning and then looked at the log file to see what persistants are up.

It looks like some of the vehicles have started to spawn.

Here's the excerpt from the log when I logged in.

7:48:28 "Spawned: 6759 ATV_US_EP1"
7:48:28 "Spawned: 6761 TT650_TK_EP1"
7:48:28 Unrecognized CfgVehicles simulation in bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/TK_Soldier_EP1/
7:48:28 "Spawned: 6762 TT650_Ins"
7:48:28 Unrecognized CfgVehicles simulation in bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/Ins_Soldier_1/
7:48:28 Unrecognized CfgVehicles simulation in bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/Ins_Soldier_Base/
7:48:28 "Spawned: 6764 UH1H_DZ"
7:48:29 "Spawned: 6765 UH1H_DZ"
7:48:29 "Spawned: 6767 Ikarus"
7:48:29 "Spawned: 6768 Ikarus_TK_CIV_EP1"
7:48:29 "Spawned: 6769 UralCivil"
7:48:29 "Spawned: 6770 Smallboat_1"
7:48:29 "Spawned: 6771 Fishing_Boat"
7:48:29 "Spawned: 40105 TentStorage"
7:48:29 "Spawned: 42624 TentStorage"
7:48:29 "Spawned: 44828 TentStorage"
7:48:29 "Spawned: 44829 TentStorage"

The 4 tents are at our base, I assume, and the rest are vehicles. Before you get excited, I don't believe those 4 digit numbers are map coordinates. Unless a small boat spawned in Old Fields north of Story Sobor. I think they're unique IDs for that item in the database.

I'll check the logs from time to time today as I get a chance to sweep the tents and see if the spawned vehicles change, or increase.

I was thinking the same thing.

The TT650 is the 2 wheeled motorcycle.
The Ikarus is the bus.

What I was thinking of doing when I have free time is hitting all of the Ural spawns to see if I can find it.

Or maybe the Ikarus as that bus is the game's mobile base, for the most part.

I found the civilian Ural.
It's up at 019 029. It's all red and out of gas, so it's going to take a lot of work to get it back on the road.
I did save it, so it'll stay there, but we're probably better off getting one of the smaller vehicles repaired and then making a trip up for that one when we have something that can carry alot of repair parts and jerry cans.

Oh.. and no, I didn't think to look for the UH-1 while I was up there. But that's pretty low down on the vehicles that would be fun to repair and use, at the moment.

At least until Andy is ready to test fly it for us... while we watch.... from the ground...

;)
